Delaware County Trail

Menke and Menke led a team of planners, designers and graphic artists in developing both planning and design details for the 13 mile long Delaware County Industrial Heritage Trail, part of the extension of the East Coast Greenway. A variety of means were utilized to recommend the alignment, including abandoned bridges and rail lines, reorganizing road lanes and shoulders to allow safe trail use, and clear signage to direct users to area amenities and destinations. Below is one of the many detail plans, a rendering of the proposed look of one segment, one of the signs, and a detailed layout plan comprising on each typical area all of the report's recommendations.
