After this Federal cemetery was filled from the original layout, additional graves were added between the existing gravesites. Additionally, whenever a tree or shrub seemed to be in decline, additional gravesites replaced the former pastoral quality of the site. Menke & Menke reviewed the history of the site, making recommendations that included keeping the historic plantings and peaceful qualities of the area intact.
